Kingston Jamaica Airport Bus

Municipal Buses

Bus Route no.98 Port Royal / Airport to city

By this bus, you can get to downtown from Kingston Airport.

Service hours: Weekdays, from 05:39 am to 09:33 pm. Saturday: From 05:58 am to 09:33 pm. Sunday: From 06:25 am to 10:04 pm. Public holidays: From 06:25 am to 10:04 pm.

Location: Ground Transportation Hall.

Bus Route no.98EX Port Royal / Airport to city

This is the express bus which only operates on weekdays.

Service hours: 07:31 am, 09:31 am, 11:19 am.

Location: Ground Transportation Hall. 

Alternative route

Pick up the Bus Route no.98 at KIN Airport (Opposite Total Gas Station Harbour) and then take Bus Route no.97 to the North Parade, in downtown Kingston.

Knutsford Express

Aside of municipal buses, at Kingston Knutsford Express offers services to many destinations within the island, including buses from Kingston to Montego Bay. The buses are big, comfortable and air-conditioned.

Minibuses in Jamaica, also called coasters, serve all the villages in the island.

You’ll easily identify them by the red license plates with the initials PPV, public passenger vehicle, or JUTA insignia, which stands for Jamaica Union of Travelers Association. These only can be used by tourists. 

Regarding schedules, they just depart when the buses are full, which are often overcrowded.
